Douglas DeFord is from Red Oak, Texas. He is a PE teacher and coach at Ovilla Christian School. He currently coaches basketball, baseball, football, and golf. He has been coaching at Ovilla Christian School for 4 years and is excited for the opportunity to coach at his alma mater. During his 4 years he has been part of two final 4 appearances one in both basketball and baseball. 

As a high school athlete, he played varsity basketball, baseball, soccer, and golf. He was a 3x all district first team player in both basketball and baseball. While at Ovilla Christian School he set the scoring record in basketball while there. He went on to play college baseball at Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
